At Vibrant Living, one of the questions we constantly ask ourselves is:
"How can we enjoy the foods we love while making them kinder to our bodies, our planet, and our values?"
Over the years, that question has inspired me to reimagine countless traditional recipes—from Indian classics to global favorites—using cleaner, more wholesome ingredients. Sometimes we veganize them. Sometimes we make them more nourishing. Sometimes we simply remove unnecessary additives and return to the essence of what made them special in the first place.
Our Almond & Fruit Biscotti is one of those creations.
And it happens to be one of the products I am most proud of.
A Love Affair That Began in Italy
For many years, I spent time in Italy, a country whose food culture deeply influenced me.
One of my favorite treats there was biscotti, particularly the famous Cantuccini di Prato from Tuscany. In the early 1990s, many trattorias and family-run restaurants didn't serve elaborate desserts. Instead, after a meal, you would often be offered a few almond biscotti alongside a small glass of Vin Santo.
Simple. Elegant. Timeless.
I loved the ritual.
The satisfying crunch. The toasted almonds. The subtle sweetness. The fact that something so humble could feel so special.
Yet there were always a few things that didn't sit well with me. Some versions contained eggs, whose aroma I found overpowering. Most were made with refined white flour and conventional sugar. They were delicious, but not exactly aligned with the way I wanted to eat.
Years later, after embracing a plant-based lifestyle and creating Vibrant Living, I found myself thinking about those Tuscan biscotti again.
Could we create a version that captured everything we loved about them—while using ingredients we could truly feel good about?
The Vibrant Living Version
After much experimentation, we created our own interpretation of this Italian classic.
Our biscotti are made with:
✔ Whole wheat flour
✔ Crunchy almonds
✔ Fragrant fennel seeds
✔ Natural sweetness, partly from fruit
✔ No eggs
✔ No dairy
✔ No artificial ingredients
The result is a biscotti that delivers the same satisfying crunch and comforting flavor, while staying true to the Vibrant Living philosophy of clean, wholesome food.
It is indulgent without feeling heavy.

What started as a personal passion project quickly became one of our most loved products.
Today, we bake large batches every week—sometimes more than once a week—to keep up with demand. You'll find our biscotti across Vibrant Living outlets, including our airport store, where travellers often pick them up for the journey ahead.
Their naturally low moisture content gives them an excellent shelf life, making them a wonderful pantry staple. They're perfect with tea, coffee, plant-based milk, or simply on their own when you're craving something crunchy and satisfying.
